Things are definitely warming up out there. We’re not quite ready to break out a shoestring satin slip or a barely there heel, but jackets are being peeled off, skirts are getting floatier, and iced coffees are starting to appear in our daily routine. The upside of being a Canberra woman, and having to deal with a slow, late transition into spring/summer, is that it gives us loads of time to prepare.
Now is the perfect time to build up your warm-weather wardrobe. And there’s no better place to start than with a skirt. Which skirts are going to be this season’s heroes? Printed pleats are making a big splash, wrap skirts are the nineties flashback you’ve been waiting for, and we still can’t get enough of animal prints.
Wear these styles with a basic tee, a chic blouse or a strappy cami. Scroll for our selections for the skirt to kick off your spring/summer look.

Printed pleats
While the classic, mid-length pleated skirt is a wardrobe staple, it’s more sassy cousin – the printed pleat – is the one we’re all about this year. Monochrome, abstract or floaty and feminine, there’s a design out there for everyone.

Wrap skirts
A more universally flattering style we have not met. The sleek wrap skirt suits every and all body shapes and wins style points with its effortless vibe.
Animal prints
Obviously we’ve been all over the animal print trend for ages, but for spring it has a new look. Zebra, leopard and cheetah prints are hitting monochrome notes and bolder and brighter colours. Bonus points for wearing more than one print at once.
