Like most working mums, Lara Bingle Worthington wears many hats: mum, wife, fashion model, spokesperson, business woman. Unlike most working mums, she has a glowing complexion in any and every photo, and a team working on said glowing complexion 24-7. Lucky.

Her irrefutably Aussie looks and beach-babe-meets-luxe-glam style have granted her a permanent place in the fashion pages. She’s married to a semi-famous guy too, so that helps.

The model launched The Base by Lara Bingle in 2013, a line of bronzing and tanning products, adding beauty entrepreneur to her list of job titles. The line has been a success, now stocked in international cosmetic stores Sephora.

But when it comes to her own skincare routine, the woman who’s had a complicated relationship with the media and her industry, has a seemingly down-to-earth approach. Her beauty secrets are surprisingly simple.

Melanie Grant, skincare guru and founder of Melanie Grant Bespoke Skin Health in Sydney’s Double Bay, spoke to Lara about her skincare routine.

Read the full story here, My Regime – Lara Worthington, a few highlights below…

What are the three skincare products you can’t be without?

The Base Gradual Tanning Lotion is my essential for an all-year-round glow. My hair is probably the most low-maintenance thing about me but I love EVO ‘The Therapist’ Calming Shampoo and Conditioner. In the summer I let it air dry — the only heat I use on my hair is the sun.

Favourite skin tips or tricks?

I can honestly say I have never taken much skincare advice from anyone, except from the women in my family, who swear by such old-fashioned tips, such as swimming in the salty sea and drinking water.

What’s your everyday makeup regime?

I use The Base LB Cream in Caramel, YSL Brown Mascara, a creme bronzer and The Base Shimmer Illuminator.

Do you take any supplements?

More than anything, I believe that beauty comes from the inside. I’m very diligent about supplements. I even have a travel kit that stays by my side. It includes Omega-3s, Biotin and BioSil for skin and hair. I also take vitamin D, which I think is super important if you can’t get 15-20 minutes a day in the sun. At night I take magnesium, which is also really great for the skin.

What’s your number one beauty secret?

Never go to bed without washing your face!

What are your own must-have beauty products?

The Base LB Cream – it’s my must-have everyday product, especially since having Rocket. It is great when you have no time, as I’m sure all mothers (especially new mothers) will agree. It’s a multi-purpose cream that transforms the complexion, evens out skin tone and has a built-in SPF.

What is your biggest beauty indulgence?

The ocean.
