A veteran on the festival fashion scene is the classic and ever-popular bohemian style. Known for it’s relaxed elegance and gypsy-inspired designs, boho chic and festivals go hand in hand.
Whimsical flowing maxis, tasseled kimonos, patterned playsuits and crochet pieces are must-have items in the boho range. Add plenty of silver and turquoise jewellery and don’t be afraid to over accessorise! Pair your outfit with a fedora, belt and your comfiest boots for the perfect finishing touch.
2016 update: Give the flower crown a rest this year and opt for a more intricate headpiece or cool hat.

Rewind the clock and channel your inner ‘70s rocker, with playful patterns, soft suede and, of course, fringing. Made famous by the ultimate in rock music festivals Woodstock – the festival that started them all – this style will have you feeling like you’re spreading peace, love and happiness all day long.
Pair a bell-sleeved dress with a fringed vest or bring back the flares with an off-the-shoulder crop for an authentic ‘70s look.
2016 update: The key to pulling off a groovy look is to mix between new and vintage pieces.

STYLISH IN SHEER
If you’ve toyed with the idea of going sheer but haven’t found the right place to wear it, you’re in luck: festivals are the perfect place to give the see-through look a go. While the look is a little risqué, sheer can also be a relaxed, elegant option when worn with the right undergarments – as our festival muse, model Rocky Barnes, demonstrates (to perfection!).
Pair your outfit with dark-coloured booty shorts and a simple bralette. Or, if you’re after a little more coverage, try a slip or bodysuit.
2016 update: The key to mastering sheer style is in the finishing touches. Accessorise with bold sunglasses, simple make-up and beach-ready hair.

DRESSED IN DENIM
If you’re looking for something a little more casual but still want to get amongst the festival fashion fever, you can’t go past old faithful denim. Try a playsuit, overalls or a denim dress for an effortlessly cool look that will take you from BBQ to poolside drinks.
Pair your denim shorts with a bodysuit or off-the-shoulder top. Or go all-out festival goddess with a floaty, embroidered top, á la Alexa Chung. Footwear is a breeze: go for casual and comfy in bright white sneakers or flat black lace-ups.
2016 update: Don’t be afraid to double up on denim – a pale tone on top and bottom is a fast way to keep your outfit current.
